Spenser Confidential

Hey guys, how's your day going? So I somewhat paid attention to this movie but it was still interesting enough to write a review on it. Also keep in mind: Because of this pandemic, I'm watching these movies on Netflix so if you have a recommendation or anything else, just let me know! I do have access to Disney+ as well! Anyways, Movie of the Night from last night: Spenser Confidential!

Spenser (played by Mark Wahlberg) is a former cop who is trying to get his life straightened out after being put in prison for five years. It wasn't until former cop buddies started dying that he decided to get down and dirty to figure out what was making his former co-workers drop like flies. With the help from his friend Henry (played by Alan Arkin) and his roommate Hawk (played by Winston Duke), Spenser gets to the bottom of the killings.

For a movie with Mark Wahlberg, I was expecting some kind of explosions or some die hard action going on but when I realized it's a cop movie with him sitting for a good portion of the movie, I think he's just getting a little old to be running around, but as for portraying an ex-cop, he did pretty well. The suspense could have been bumped up a little bit but it stills got my mind whirring to figure out who the killer was to get through the movie. Spenser Confidential is an interesting movie to watch but it's only entertaining because of the action. The amount of conversations in this movie may have surpassed the amount of fights that happened. So if this movie is in your To Watch list, don't do it. You can spend two hours watching something else.
