Hey guys! How's it going? I'm doing alright. Just chilling and making sure I stay hydrated. Can I just take a moment to say: I have been seeing my posts' views skyrocket, and I can't thank you guys enough for reading my content :) It makes me feel amazing just to throw in my two cents on which movies to watch in theaters, but anyways, enough of that. Movie of the Night: Jurassic World: Rebirth!
In a world where dinosaurs wander around with humans, there's only so much people can do with them. Watch them in a zoo, befriend them, speculate how wonderous they are. For Dr. Henri Loomis (played by Jonathan Bailey). he not only studies them but he wants to get up close and personal with them with Zora Bennett (played by Scarlett Johannson), a mercenary who isn't afraid to get close with a dinosaur even if it wants to eat her head off. With Dr. Loomis, Z rearranges a team in order to obtain dinosaur DNA to help mankind's health. Who knew the benefits of dinosaurs? The thing is: Is it worth your life in order to do something this dangerous?
What can I say about this movie? How about two words: Holy cow! The intensity of these dinosaurs are on a whole different level. For some weird reason, I was brought back to the very first Jurassic Park where it all happened. But then again, this movie basically brings you full circle to where all the other movies happened which was pretty neat if you think about it. The park itself and where Chris Pine was trying to tame the mutants. But the story of this one is a whole different ballgame. Not only are there a couple different stories being told at the same time, the way they intertwine was interesting. On one hand, you have a family who is just trying to enjoy some time together before the dinosaurs just start causing chaos. On the other, there's a team of mercenaries who want fame and money. Some more than others, but you get the gist. The anxiety of what's going to happen not only makes you want to grip your seat, but you happen to wonder: What's going to happen next? Because you know some people aren't going to make it and some of them just go all within a blink of an eye. It's not exactly jump scares, but it definitely catches you off guard with some of the deaths. Not to mention, the characters tend to grow on you. I don't know if it's the doctor's adrenaline but you can't help but continue on the with the story to see which dinosaur they want to go to next in order to get their DNA. One is land based. One is mainly in the air. And one is in the ocean. How would you gather their DNA and in what order? I'm so glad I got to see this one in theaters, because I would not have been able to enjoy the magnificence that is these ginormous creatures. So if you're wondering what to watch next on the big screen, I definitely recommend this one! It's even interesting for the kids!
*Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence/action, language, gore, drug reference and suggestive references
My Rating: A+
