Now You See Me

Hey guys! How's it going? Who saw the preview for the third one? I did and I cannot wait! I knew I had to do a marathon before the third one came out because not only did I forget what happened in the movies, but I like my fair share of magic tricks! So without further ado, Movie of the Night: Now You See Me!

If you were a magician, what kind of magic tricks would you do? Card tricks? How about making a rabbit disappear? What about being able to read people's minds? Well that's what J. Daniel Atlas (played by Jesse Eisenberg), Henley Reeves (played by Isla Fisher), Jack Wilder (played by Dave Franco) and Merritt McKinney (played by Woody Harrelson) do except they do the magic tricks for a higher purpose and I'm not talking about God. I'm talking about the Eye, an exclusive magician's club they get into but not with the help from the FBI and especially not from a skeptic who likes to debunk all of  their tricks. The thing is they are always one step ahead and makes everyone wonder what is an illusion and what is not.

I know. I know. These movies are not everyone's cup of tea, but you got to admit some of their magic tricks are pretty cool and especially enough to bamboozle the FBI? That's impressive. I think what was more impressive was their tricks didn't seem so heavy on the CGI except maybe one part but even then, it was all misdirection. From stealing the money in France to stealing from Arthur Tressler's (played by Michael Caine) account. You got to admit that was pretty impressive, but I know when I watched this the first time with my dad, he was skeptical, but then again, those who don't like illusions as much don't believe in the magic. It makes you wonder: Is everything an illusion or is it real? Did Jack really die in that car crash? What about the FBI agent Dylan Rhodes (played by Mark Ruffalo)? All of the questions, and they get answered. Just not in a way viewers were expecting. Can I also just put in my two cents about this cast? Because Morgan Freeman is in it, and he's not a bad actor in my opinion. Anyways, I'm so glad I got to see this movie on the big screen, because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if it was at home. The series is found on Netflix, so if you're in the mood for a magical experience, better head that way!

*Rated PG-13 for action, language and sexual content
