Escape Room

Hey guys! How's it going? Happy October! It is officially spooky season and I have been enjoying every minute of it. The weather has been getting cooler. I've been baking a bit, and the festivities are nonstop. It has been a wee bit busy, but not too busy to watch a few scary movies. So without further ado, Movie of the Night: Escape Room!

Have you ever done an escape room? Have you ever done one and someone dies? Well in this movie, that's what happens in almost every room and it's not pretty. Six people: Zoey Davis (played by Taylor Russell), Ben Miller (played by Logan Miller), Amanda Harper (played by Deborah Ann Woll), Jason Walker (played by Jay Ellis), Danny Khan (played by Nik Dodani) and Mike Nolan (played by Tyler Labine) are gathered to compete against each other to solve the clues and riddles in order to win $10,000. Except it seems that the rooms are tailored to each person, so if they lose someone that knows what the clue might be, they might just be out of luck.

I've never done an escape room and after watching this movie, I might have to wait haha. But I'm sure escape rooms aren't this elaborate... Right? Anyways, I didn't know what to expect from this movie but when I was watching the preview on Netflix, I decided to try it out and it was a ride. There was something about this movie that just captivated me and I don't know if it's how each person dies or who was going to win in the end, because I was not expecting Ben to win. And of course, there's the genius who tries to break the entire game by trying to escape it which I had a feeling Zoey was going to do but, again, in a way that I was not expecting. Each character has their own quirk that you just can't help but try and figure out what their back story is, because they each have an interesting one. I also did not realize there was a second movie until I started researching for this post so that may be next on my to watch list since it is on Netflix and Hulu. So if you're in for a thriller, this one might be for you. Just be careful. You might be on the edge of your seat for this one.

*Rated PG-13 for action/violence, language, suggestive material and language
