Taken

Hey guys! How's it going? It's been going for me. I've been finding some oldies yet goodies while I'm scrolling through my streaming services. I don't know what it is, but they're putting some of the good ones on. Or maybe it's because it's just that time of the year where all the interesting movies are making their way onto the streaming services. Anyways, Movie of the Night: Taken!

Bryan Mills (played by Liam Neeson) is an ex-CIA agent and estranged to not only his daughter, Kim (played by Maggie Grace) but his ex-wife Lenore (played by Famke Janssen) so when he attempts to get close to his daughter again, she drops a surprise on him by saying she's going to Europe with her friend. Little did he know that she was going to follow a band and that did not sit well with Bryan. So with a little budging, he managed to let her go but it wasn't until Kim get's abducted that releases a parent's worse nightmare.

There's something about a good action movie that just sucks me in, and I totally forgot how captivating this movie series is. From Bryan trying to baby his teenage daughter to his deadly moves on the abductors. It just makes you want to know what's going to happen next and how he knows what to do. But I guess that what happens when you used to work in the CIA. Did I mention how huge Liam Neeson's hands are? Every time he smacks a guy, I'm just wondering why does it cover the guy's entire face haha. Anyways, I know parent's nowadays would track their kids using location on the kid's phone but you got to remember: This movie was in 2009. Flip phones were a thing and location would probably be a pretty penny for the parent. Let alone: Touching the Internet on your phone? You better make sure you quickly exit out of that  thing before your parents wonder why your phone bill was so high. Anyways, if I could watch this movie on the big screen I would because even though it's on Hulu, it would have been awesome seeing Liam Neeson kick some guy's butt on the big screen.

*Rated PG-13 for violence, action, sexual content, thematic material, some drug references and language

My Rating: A
