Five Nights at Freddy's 2

Hey guys! How's it going? It's been a minute since I've been to the movie theater, and I know I have been watching a bit of some older stuff so I thought might as well get scared this past weekend. So without further ado, Movie of the Night: Five Nights at Freddy's 2!

Mike (played by Josh Hutcherson), Abby (played by Piper Rubio) and Vanessa (played by Elizabeth Lail) are back in this scary sequel that not only involved the pizzeria that started it all but Freddy Fazbear and the gang are back but they look a little different. It's been a year since what happened when Mike was a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's but now he's trying to move on, however Vanessa seems to be having difficulty this time around. With her father's actions and all. Not only that, Abby seems to be missing her friends except Mike didn't tell her what really happened to them, so what happens when she bumps into her friends again when they look brand new? There's something dark lurking in their corners, and it's not good for any of them.

I really need to play the games again... All the way through. For some weird reason, I get stuck on night 3 and I end up just watching playthroughs haha. But I was super glad I got to see this movie in theaters, because not only did I get to enjoy some popcorn but the reaction from the fanbase had me giggling throughout the entire time. And it's not just because a YouTuber is in it as a cab driver but some new characters come forward, and I do have to admit: They upped the spooky factor in this movie. Not just because of the jump scares but the Marionette and Michael Afton (played by Freddy Carter) just send chills down the spine. The creepy and spooky vibes were emanating from these two characters alone, but the animatronics had their moments too, and it was interesting to learn that Megan Fox voices Chica. Maybe I got sucked into the movie and was so intrigued to learn more about the story but this movie did seem a little fast paced especially for someone who doesn't remember a whole lot of the lore. But I managed to keep up and enjoy it without asking a lot of questions hehe. As for someone who doesn't play the games or follow the lore, it might be a wee bit fast paced but still an enjoyable horror movie to not only enjoy by yourself but with a few friends. I highly recommend checking it out in theaters before it hits the stream services! You might not enjoy the animatronics on a small screen.

Rated PG-13 for language, violent content, and terror
