Toy Story 4

Hey guys! How's it going? I took a little break last week but I'm back and doing my best to stay inside because it is getting hot outside. Yup. We have officially reached the triple digits and it's not even the low hundreds. It's already making it's way to 110 by the end of the week. Ugh. Anyways, Movie of the Night: Toy Story 4!

The toys are back and Bonnie (voiced by Madeleine McGraw) is still imaginative as ever except she has to go to Kindergarten, and she can't take a toy with her. So she makes one and his name is Forky (voiced by Tony Hale). The thing is he doesn't think he's a toy. He thinks he's trash and wants to stay in it, but Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) is trying his best to make sure he feels like a part of the gang and since Bonnie is heavily dependent on him during this time of transition, he's got to make sure Forky is welcomed and feels like a toy. It wasn't until Bonnie and her family decided to take a trip and losing Forky that Woody ends up reuniting with an old friend he hasn't seen in a very long time. The thing is should he stay with her or should he stay with the toys in Bonnie's closet?

You know after the third movie and almost crying my eyes out because I thought the toys were going to be incinerated, I'm glad they toned that down a bit in this movie haha. But I still wish I watched this one in the theaters, because first of all: I didn't realize Bo Peep (voiced by Annie Potts) was porcelain until this movie. We have come a long way when it comes to technology haha. I kind of figured she was somewhere out in the world, but the amount of spunk she has is interesting. I was so used to seeing her in Molly's room that this different side of her was almost fun to watch. And that awkward reunion with Woody? Yeah. I kind of figured something was going to happen to Woody the moment Bonnie wasn't playing with him as much since the beginning of the movie, but that brings me to my next point on why I watched this movie: Apparently in the next installment, he comes back?! Just when I thought this series was over, they pull me back in, and it's not just because of the voice actors. I mean I was not expecting Key and Peele. Let alone Keanu Reeves. It just makes me wonder what they were setting us up for this next movie, because Woody is out in the world with Bo Peep and he comes back to what? Say hi? That's an interesting plot right there alone. But anyways, this movie was a different pace than the recent movies I have been watching so I'm glad I got to at least watch it on Disney+. So if you have the kiddos and want a movie night, I suggest this one :)
