Scary Movie 6

Hey guys! How's it going? I know. It's been a minute. I have been a little busy with life, but I'm back and not only that, I have been going back to the theaters. Thank goodness for $5 Tuesdays. Is it me or are there not a lot of good movies out? Anyways, Movie of the Night: Scary Movie 6!

In this sixth installment of the Scary Movie franchise, Ghostface (played by Dave Sheridan) from Scream is back at it and Brenda (played by Regina Hall), Cindy (played by Anna Faris), Shorty (played by Marlon Wayans) and Ray (played by Shawn Wayans) do their best not to get killed. All the while making parodies and spoofs of movies, shows and recent pop culture trends.

You know it's going to be a little rough for me to make a movie review when I can't even make a great summarization of the movie. Because that is what this entire franchise is: A parody to not only shows and movies but pop culture trends that have been around the last 26 years. They even made a reference to White Chicks and that movie came out in 2004 so I wasn't surprised. But anyways, it wasn't a bad movie. It definitely made me chuckle to the point where I may or may have not knocked over my popcorn but it's only because they reference Zodiac signs since everyone likes to let everyone know what their Sun sign is just because. I thought I was out of the loop when it came to some of these other trends they mentioned, but I was able to keep up with most of the them. Which reminds me I should watch the new Final Destination haha. Oh and don't get me started on the KPop Demon Hunters parody song Shorty sang. That's the thing with this movie. It keeps you chuckling but not really deep laughter which I encountered during the first couple of movies. I didn't even watch the 4 or 5 but it's on my list since I seem to be watching movies all out of order for some weird reason. But if you want to know my opinion, skip the theater and wait until it hits a streaming service. Save your money and make the popcorn at home, because even though it might have been great seeing it on the big screen, it's not worth it.
